This hotel was in a convenient location, close to airport and restaurants.

Our Motel room was a family room. It was basic but that was all we needed really. It was clean but could have done with a shot of fly spray as there were a number of mosquitos in the room.

Don't drive in Brisbane!!We found Brisbane terrible to drive in. The City streets are poorly sign posted and the drivers are MAD! The streets around Hamilton and Ascot were awful with broken footpaths and neglected properties. People were friendly enough but I won't be rushing back there.

What a great find

Airport Motel was much better than any of the other motels we have tried in the airport area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although it was on a busy road the room was quiet and beds were comfortable. It was very convenient to local restaurants and the airport. Minding our car during our holiday and a free shuttle to the airport were brilliant and worry free.

Bed Bugs Galore....

Well it goes to prove that you should read reviews before booking and not just trust that the name says it all. Brisbane Manor Hotel as it is not so aptly called is more suited to be called backpackers. I stayed one night each way through Brisbane and was not all that impressed, the first room the rubbish bin had not been emptied and even though I am pretty sure the linen was clean it was stained and thread bare, the mattress needed to be replaced as it had a very large dip in the middle making the night sleep very uncomfortable.

The second night in a different room where I am sure the linen was not clean was spent trying to snatch a few minutes sleep in between the ancient fridge that was in the room cooling (sounded equivalent to a 737 taking off every 45 minutes) and the bed bugs biting (should just have slept at the airport). So unfortunately my time at the BMH was very disappointing and if I had known what I know now would have stayed in local backpackers for half the price.

We enjoyed our stay because

It as close to the train station, the resturant was clean and the staff friendly, food was great value for money.

We were only in the city overnight but we enjoyed the ride on the city cat, up & down river, that way we got to see something of the city during our short stay

Michael deserves promotion and managemnt position. Excellent people and organization skills

Very central to everything in the City. 5 minutes walk from Roma Station. The rooms were up to my expectations and the friendly service from Michael behind reception made me extend my stay there for a further three nights.

Fully recommend anyone visiting Brisbane.

Queen St. mall at night, the two free buses around the city etc, but what I noticed was that people in Brisbane were friendlier than people in Auckland or Sydney. I liked the laidback atmosphere and all the tours available were great. Will definitely be taking my husband back and staying at George Williams Hotel.

Too many great things to mention. My son is moving to Brisbane to live after Xmas. Far more exciting than NZ. Sorry whanau.
