Abbey Apartments. Reviewed: March 2009. #465

Finding the Abbey Appartments could not be easier. If taking the train from the airport, they are right outside the Transit centre on the opposite side of the road. Location is OK. About a ten minute walk to anything other than a few bars. Shame there is not a Ferry pier at the end of the road, this would have been ideal.

Appartment was tired but very clean and spacious. Bed very comfortable despite reports we had read to contrary.

Staff very friendly and welcoming. Couldn't have been more helpful when our car hire company let us down.

Well done all.

We believe this property is due for some refurbishment. This will make it an excellent property.

Make sure you get an all day Rover ticket. Can be used on trains, buses and ferries all day long. Only cost us about 5.25 dollars a piece. Fantastic value.

Take the City Cat the entire length of the river. Much further than the tour boats and a fraction of the price (though you don't get any commentary)

Koala Santuary at Lone Pine was a lovely half day trip. Bus from Queens Street Terminus.

South Bank Park on a sunny day. Take your swimming gear and join in the fun, or just stroll through the park and enjoy a drink in the sunshine. Great place for all ages.

Botanic gardens are a haven of peace in a bustling city. Relax under the shade of the trees or stroll down to the river side and watch the world go by.

You can book hotels and much more accommodation online.
