Oaks Festival Towers. Reviewed: July 2009. #2030

The reception area is very poorly designed. To have the desk facing your guests as they arrive would be a much nicer experience. Why do you have your guests heading down a hallway??? My biggest "let down", was that when I arrived, there were lots of guests in the foyer area - nice atmosphere, but then I was "greeted" by a nod and a "are you checking in?" Appalling, seeing as that came from the duty manager!!!!!!! I was then hand-balled to a staff member, after 2 attempts to pronounce my surname.

At this stage I still received no formal greeting. I understand what he was trying to do, but clearly he has no real organisational skills. Would it not have been better to have a list of guests still to check in and use that, rather than mis-pronounce your guests' name, then pass them on. I did enjoy the ambience of the property, but a smile would not have gone astray.

Book Oaks Festival Towers, or Inner Brisbane Accommodation and Hotels.
